Recently, I have begun to notice that the 1960's classic style is making a come back. TV shows like "Mad Men" , "Pan Am" and movies like "The Help" are helping me to inspire my fall wardrobe. So, I took a trip to a little boutique called Cheeky Vintage on Richmond Avenue, near downtown Houston. At this charming boutique, I found the most glamorous vintage cocktail dress and Jackie "O" approved sunglasses. Check out Cheeky Vintage if you are looking for the perfect flashback ensemble!

Recently I was inspired a very cool spread in Teen Vogue about retro inspired styles on the runways this fall. This got me thinking about a place where I could find some fabulous vintage pieces for FREE...my Granny's jewelry chest of course!
Here are a few retro baubles that she let me snag from her extensive collection...
This pair of cuff earrings my Granny gave to her mother in the fifties has to be my favorite find!

Yesterday was a busy day, I modeled for Mirror/ Mirror at The Upper Hand Salon. The segment was all about new hair accessory trends for the fall season. At the shoot I was finally able to meet the famous Rachel Gower, owner of The Upper Hand Salon. The episode won't air for awhile, but when it does I will post a link. In the meantime check out other episodes of Mirror/Mirror on the LiveWell Network.
